Q10004 - INFO: Will Rhinoback raise prices?

The current pricing of Rhinoback services cover the cost of operation and produces a profit.  We do not anticipate any need to raise prices now or in the future.  We are buying Internet bandwidth in bulk, and the cost of storage hardware is coming down over time.  As our business grows and our expenses continue to go down with the cost of technology, we intend to pass those savings along to our customers.  Our business model requires that we provide the best in security, reliability, and functionality at rates that are affordable to small businesses and home office computer owners.

Unlike many other online backup service providers; we do not spend massive amounts of money on marketing or ridiculously cheap or free accounts that increase our cost.  Therefore, we do not have the same overhead to pass along to our paying customers.  We depend on referrals from our existing customers to help us grow and reduce costs.
